Smart Dubai Government Establishment (also known as Smart Dubai Gov or SDG) is the technology arm of Smart Dubai, an initiative to transform Dubai into a smart city.
Among the most recent projects, there is also the intention of providing all the citizens of a digital identity to give them access to the public administration services through their smartphone. The government published an international RFP (Request for Proposal), an invitation to all the digital identity-services providers to propose a suitable solution to realise their project.
In response to the RFP, Bit4id designed a solution which perfectly meets all the needs of the Government of Dubai and would allow citizens to access and manage public administration services through mobile devices, quickly and safely. On the 6th July Pierluigi Pilla, Head of PKI Competence Center Bit4id, has been in Dubai to personally present this solution to an executive committee, showing a series of demo and giving full demonstration of the proposal.
Bit4id participated in partnership with Catec, very known system integrator of Dubai, Tech Innovation, consultancy company for the digital transformation of local firms, and Hashcove, English company expert in Blockchain, because part of the project required the use of this technology.
The solution approved by the government will be also presented in October at the Gitex 2017, an important IT exhibition which takes place every year in Dubai.
