Forum PA, the annual appointment which promotes the modernisation of the Public Administration, will take place as usual in May.

The theme of the 2017 Edition is the relation between technological innovation and sustainable development. Technology has an important role in our world and the purpose of this event is to understand how much it can contribute in the realisation of a social and economic sustainable development.

The project is strictly connected with the program of 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations in 2015.

The main discussion topics during the event will be about work, security, health defense, environmental quality and social differences. This 28th Edition of Forum PA will take place in Rome at the Convention Center “La Nuvola” in three days. Here is the schedule of the main appointments:

  • Tuesday, 23 May: opening ceremony, with the presentation of the reform by the Minister for Public Administration and following discussion about technological innovation.
  • Wednesday, 24 May: focus on sustainability with the special guest Jeffrey Sachs, famous economist and pioneer of sustainable development.
  • Thursday, 25 May: closing ceremony with the participation of the Minister of Economy and Finances.

During the last day there will be also the award ceremony of the “10×10 Award = one hundred projects to change Public Administration”, the initiative organized by Forum PA to reward worthy projects and product. Among the winning projects chosen by the committee there is also Signing Today, the Bit4id service to collect electronic signatures on digital documents with legal validity, considered as one of the best sustainable solutions for a Public Administration without paper.
