“I can say only good things about this workshop: clear explanations, perfect organization. It was awesome.” These are the words used by Luigi, a 24 years old boy from Salerno and an IT student, about Hands-on, the workshop organised by Bit4id which took place few days ago and was a real success.

Indeed, while in a previous article it was announced to be a one-day event on Thursday 22 June, there were so many applications to participate that the only solution was a second day of workshop, which took place on Friday 23.

There is already who would like to repeat the experience, such as the young Arcangelo, 19: “I’m attending the first year of Computer Engineering and thanks to Hands-on I discovered many new things about programming. In one day I learned how to use Django, while before I didn’t even know what it was. I will tell my friends about this workshop and I will be back with them to the next events!”

All the participants developed an app for the remote management of a browser, receiving from the Bit4id experts accurate but at the same time simple and direct explanations in order to make the experience as practical as possible, far from the academic formalities.

The workshop happened in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere which encouraged interaction and brainstorming; Bit4id tutors answered all the participants’ questions and constantly assisted them during the app development. The event took place in the modern and comfortable structure of Federico II in San Giovanni a Teduccio.

Not only students but also graduates and workers participated to the 22 and 23 June events, with the aim to improve their skills. Eleonora, 26, IT Engineer attending the Apple Developer Academy, “absorbed like a sponge” everything they taught her at Hands-on; Mauro, 30, works in a consultancy company and really appreciated the event. “What impressed me most – he says – was the perfect organization of the workshop. There were a lot of difficult things to learn but the limited number of participants and the constant support of the tutors made everything simpler.”

Hands-on was born in collaboration with Banco di Napoli, which wants to promote new interesting initiatives and give concrete development and growth opportunities. For now the workshop is an experimental project but it can easily become a format.
