Over the last months, Bit4id contributed to writing an important document as part of the CEN-CENELEC Focus Group about “Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies”.  The title of the white paper is “Recommendations for Successful Adoption in Europe of Emerging Technical Standards on Distributed Ledger/Blockchain Technologies”; it identifies Europe’s specific needs for a blockchain technologies standardization, in the general context of the ISO TC/307 technical committee, addressing important topics such as digital identity, security, privacy and European industrial priorities.

The European standardization organization CEN-CENELEC officially approved the document that will be presented during the meeting of the ISO TC/307 committee in Moscow from the 20th until the 25th October 2018.

Bit4id participates in the Italian committee UNINFO TC/532, the CEN-CENELEC Focus Group and the ISO TC/307 committee, specifically in the Work Group “Security, Identity and Privacy”, to give its contribution in the standardization activities for blockchain technologies and distributed ledger world-wide.
